Trackers

Badge Trackers:

I started hand making these badge tracker books at home after trying to figure out which Daisy badges paired up with Brownie badges for my multi-level troop.  These small, lightweight books list all the awards and badges that can be earned at each level with requirements in a small checklist style format.  Pick up a copy for your Girl Scout or Troop here:

I have created a bound Troop Planner for each year with my troop.  This helps me check-off any dues and fees easily while at the meeting while keeping any emergency contact information handy without needing to rely on internet access in the woods or only having the contacts saved on my phone in case it breaks.  Check out the descriptions here or pick up your copy here

Badge Descriptions:

Troop activities are supposed to be girl-led, but it can be hard to narrow down the choices with all the new releases in the last few years.  I created one document with a picture and short description of the badges, journeys, and special opportunity awards.  Read through the descriptions and then use the Google forms to record votes.  I finished the Brownie lists and will start working on the other levels.

Have each Girl Scout score each badge with 0,1, or 2 points.
0 Points - You are not interested in completing this badge this year.
1 Points - This badge is not your top pick, but you would be happy to work on it
2 Points - This is one of your top picks and you really want to work on this badge this year.

Add up all the points for each badge and determine which ones earned the most!  Those are the ones with the most interest.

Journey Descriptions:

Not sure which Journey to start with your troop?  Check out these overview descriptions and charts for each level:

Financial Trackers:

I use Google Sheets (app or website) to keep track of all financial transactions.  Enter in the date, location, expense category, and amount of the purchase and the sheet will automatically calculate the balance and year end reports.  We just started a paypal account so I also created a second account balance to the right of the Categories section.  I can share a View-Only link with my troop and enable the Troop Treasurer "Edit" access for complete control of who is able to make changes to the tracker  Turning in the end of year finance report takes just minutes to complete.
